The titanium dioxide alliance was initiated in 2009 by the Titanium Dioxide Center of the National Chemical Industry Productivity Promotion Center. The first unit of the board of directors of the Alliance is Pangang Group Titanium Industry Co., Ltd., and the Alliance Secretariat is based on the Chemical Industry Productivity Promotion Center. It is reported that the titanium dioxide alliance will hold a signing ceremony for the establishment of the alliance in Yunnan in early May. After the establishment of the titanium dioxide alliance, it will innovate the operating mode, effectively play a leading role in the technological innovation in the field of titanium dioxide, and at the same time strengthen the communication and contact with industry organizations to jointly promote the sound and rapid development of China's titanium dioxide industry.
According to the person in charge of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the China Petrochemical Federation, since the Federation initiated the construction of industrial alliances in 2009, three industrial technology innovation strategic alliances, including methanol, tires, and non-mercury catalyst industry, have been approved by the Federation, and the titanium dioxide industry has been approved. The alliance is the fourth industrial technology innovation strategic alliance in the national chemical industry.
