The first 800m3/h ultrapure hydrogen purification technology industrial application demonstration equipment was built

Recently, high-performance metal palladium composite membrane materials developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and an 800m3/h-scale ultrapure hydrogen purification technology have been used in industrial application demonstration experiments. This is the first set of industrial application demonstration device developed by China for the purification of ultrapure hydrogen using a cheap metal palladium composite membrane.

On May 17th, an expert group organized by the High Technology Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology carried out the national "863" membrane special topic "Ultra pure hydrogen separation membrane materials and large-scale preparation technologies" undertaken by Dalian Institute of Chemical Industry and Huahai Hydrogen Production Equipment Co., Ltd. Field test, the result is as follows:

(1) On a 800m3/h unit, 99.92% pure hydrogen is used as a raw material to obtain an ultrapure hydrogen with a purity of 99.99995%. The hydrogen recovery rate is 91.2%, and the hydrogen production rate is 847m3/h.

(2) The expert conducted another on-site test of another 30m3/h ultrapure hydrogen technology demonstration device. The results are as follows: Using 99.9995% pure hydrogen as raw gas, ultrapure hydrogen with purity >99.999999% can be obtained. Hydrogen recovery The rate reached 91.68% and the hydrogen production was 30.66m3/h.

So far, the project has completed its planned objectives in terms of the preparation of palladium composite membrane materials and the ultra-pure hydrogen purification technology of the 800m3/h scale. Experts believe that the test results exceeded expectations and fully affirmed them. Ultrapure hydrogen is widely used in strategic emerging industries such as electronics, semiconductors, LED and polysilicon. The successful application of the industrial application demonstration device marked the development of ultra-pure hydrogen purification technology with independent intellectual property rights in China, which can provide cheap, ultra-pure hydrogen raw materials for the aforementioned strategic emerging industries.

The industrial demonstration test device is advanced in design and the entire process is automated. During the construction and testing of the device, Zhehai Haitian Body Co., Ltd. was given full support in terms of support, capital, hydrogen source, technology, engineering, and manpower. The two parties have worked closely together, and have been highly effective and pragmatic. They have also been praised by experts and considered it to be "a successful model for cooperation and innovation between the Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences and high-tech enterprises."
