During maintenance, the breaker of the capacitor bank and its upper and lower isolation switches should be opened first. At this time, although the capacitor bank has been discharged by the discharge resistor, there is still a small amount of residual charge. For its own safety, it must be artificial. Discharge.
When discharging, first fix the grounding end of the grounding wire to the grounding grid, and then use the grounding rod to short-circuit the capacitor terminal to the grounding discharge until there is no spark and discharge sound, and finally fix the grounding wire. At this time, the device can be touched to the primary component. For capacitor banks with multiple stages in series, the series connection point should be short-circuited to ground before human contact.
In addition, in dealing with faulty capacitors, it should be noted that if the capacitor is internally broken, the fuse is blown or the lead is in poor contact, there may be residual charge between the two poles, so that the residual charge cannot be released during automatic discharge or manual discharge. . Therefore, the operating or maintenance personnel must wear insulated gloves before touching the faulty capacitor, and short-circuit the two poles of the faulty capacitor with a short-circuit wire to discharge them.
Note: Since the two poles of the capacitor will have residual charge, the charge must be discharged during operation, and vice versa.
