Production of TIG+TOCE welding process

TOCE welding process refers to pure argon-protected narrow gap automatic welding, which is used for installation and construction of pipelines.

The TOCE welding process has the advantages of high welding efficiency and good welding quality, but it also has the following disadvantages:

(1) The accuracy of the groove group is high. The gap between the groups is less than 1.0mm. If the gap is more than 1.0mm, the TOCE method cannot be used for welding. Otherwise, there is a penetration penetration weld, which burns through the blunt edge of the groove. risk. The pair of gaps are too large, so that the root width of the weld is too large, and the arc is concentrated on the blunt edge of the root, so that the blunt edge is burnt through due to excessive heat input.

(2) Restriction of groove form When the group gap does not meet the TOCE welding process requirements, manual welding cannot be used for welding. The groove under the TOCE welding process is a narrow gap groove. When the test piece pair is completed, the groove is on the groove. The edge width is about 22mm, and manual welding cannot be performed.

In order to solve the above situation that the gap of the pipe fittings exceeds 1.0 mm, a TIG+TOCE welding process has been developed.

The TIG+TOCE welding process allows the maximum pair gap to be 1.0~4.0mm. Therefore, the TIG+TOCE welding process can effectively solve the problem that the TOCE welding process cannot be used when the groove group has a clearance of more than 1.0mm in the main pipeline installation of the nuclear power plant.

3. Overview of TIG+TOCE welding process

(1) Welding method The TIG+TOCE welding process is performed by manual tungsten argon arc welding (TIG) primering and automatic welding process (TOCE) filling.

(2) Welding equipment Welding equipment is divided into manual welding equipment and automatic welding equipment.

Manual welding equipment: manual argon arc welding machine.

Automatic welding equipment: that is, automatic welding machine, which is the carrying body of narrow gap automatic welding. Before the establishment of Fuqing Automatic Welding Laboratory, one of the key preparations was the selection of automatic welding machine, and finally decided to use the products of Canadian LIBURDY Company.

Through the series of tests of the Fuqing Automatic Welding Laboratory, it can be confirmed that the welding materials with stable quality and qualified quality can be welded by using the equipment of LIBURDY and the currently developed process parameters.

(3) The filling material is stainless steel welding wire, there are three kinds in total: automatic welding wire is ER 316L φ0.8mm and ER 316LSi φ1.0mm, of which ER 316L φ0.8mm is used to support the welding of the weld bead, ER 316LSi φ1.0mm is used for subsequent Welding of fill bead and cover bead. The hand-welded wire is ER 316L φ1.6mm for manual tungsten argon arc welding (TIG) primer welding.
