Soft Water Permeable Pipe Construction Method
The soft water permeable pipe is designed with a high-strength steel wire ring as its structural support, combined with a multi-layered wrapping material that ensures water permeability, filtration, and protection. The steel wire is treated with a phosphoric acid anti-rust coating to prevent oxidation and corrosion. It is then covered with a layer of PVC to further protect it from moisture and air exposure. The outer wrapping consists of three distinct layers: the inner layer is made of high-strength nylon yarn for water permeability, the middle layer is a non-woven geotextile filter, and the outer layer is a protective coating using the same material as the inner layer for durability and consistency.
**Construction Process**
The construction process involves several key steps: first, site preparation through dewatering, followed by driving in sheet pile supports. Once the foundation pit is excavated, a layer of pebbles is laid down, followed by geotextile layers. Then, the permeable pipes are installed, backfilled with pebbles, and finally capped to complete the system.
**Key Construction Considerations**
1. To maintain the integrity of the pipeline, the high-strength nylon yarn should be protected from UV exposure. It's important to backfill the area promptly after installation.
2. No heavy pressure should be applied on the pipe during construction. If the area is not fully backfilled, mechanical vehicles must not pass over it to avoid damaging the structure.
3. When compacting the backfill material, use a small vibratory compactor only when the cover layer is more than 60 cm thick to avoid damage.
4. For connecting the flexible water pipes, simply cut the corresponding wire ring at the joint and secure it with a nylon rope. No special fittings are required.
