       Recently, Anhui Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision announced the results of the provincial supervision and inspection of safety helmets and safety net products. Three types of safety helmets were exposed due to safety hazards.

A total of 25 samples produced by 25 companies were spot-checked. After inspection, 22 groups were qualified. The overall sampling rate was 88%. Among them, there are 12 groups of dense eye security net products, with a pass rate of 100%; 13 hard hat products, and 10 qualified, with a sampling pass rate of 76.9%. The companies and products that have been listed in the “Quality Black List” are: “Yanshan” brand ordinary safety helmets (glass reinforced plastic) produced by Tianchang Yishan Protective Products Co., Ltd. in October 2012, and Futian Safety Protective Products Limited of Tianchang City Limited. The company's "Fu Shi" brand ordinary type helmet (glass reinforced plastic) produced in October 2012, Hefei Yongan Lighting Equipment Co., Ltd. produced ordinary safety helmet (ABS) in October 2012. The puncture resistance of the first two products did not meet the standard, and the latter product failed the impact absorption performance.

The quality supervision department reminds us to choose helmets according to the industry and operating environment used. For example, if general construction helmets are used in the construction industry, special (insulated) safety helmets should be used in the power industry; special (lateral rigidity, anti-static) safety helmets should be selected for operation in flammable and explosive environments. The large-scale helmets are suitable for open-air operations, and have the function of preventing sunlight and rain.
