Recently, the Chongqing Institute of Green Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (referred to as the Chongqing Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) has successfully produced the first 15-inch single-layer graphene in China, which has reached the highest level in China. Graphene is a monoatomic layer planar film composed of carbon atoms, which can be used as a material for the transparent electrode of the core part of the new touch screen. Compared with the existing mobile phone touch screen materials, graphene is thinner, almost completely transparent, and has stronger strength, and is bent to some extent without damage to the screen. In the next five years or so, with the corresponding improvement of other components and materials, the display screen of mobile phones and computers can be truly folded.
At present, the Chongqing Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has grown a 15-inch uniform single-layer graphene on a copper foil substrate and successfully transferred it to a flexible PET substrate and other substrate surfaces. To this end, Shanghai Nanjiang Group will jointly promote the “large-area single-layer graphene industrialization project†with the Chongqing Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with an initial investment of 267 million yuan. Recently, the graphene industrial base has successfully settled in Chongqing, and will strive to build the first production line and put into production within one year, forming 10 million pieces of graphene capacity.
