To enhance the competitiveness of our products in the market, we are focusing on strengthening internal quality management and improving product quality while keeping a close eye on controlling quality costs. As part of this effort, the Yellow River Cyclone Products Division is currently testing the small-diameter cold-pressing process within the production workshop. Worker wages are directly tied to product quality, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards. This approach not only upholds our high-quality benchmarks but also motivates employees to take ownership of product quality.
The ultimate aim of implementing a quality-based wage system is to boost product quality and cut down on production expenses. To ensure success, the product division is taking several steps to support this initiative, including enhancing employee awareness, providing skill training, and intensifying supervision and checks. We have introduced weekly learning sessions to reinforce employees' sense of responsibility and highlight the importance of controlling quality costs. Employees are encouraged to aim for zero defects and ensure each product meets standards from the start.
Operational skills are being sharpened through strict adherence to process standards and equipment operation guidelines. Teams are tasked with self-inspecting to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce errors, and focus on producing high-quality products. Additionally, the business department has established an inspection team that monitors the workshop for at least three hours daily. Any violations of quality protocols result in immediate disqualification from the monthly quality bonus. Issues detected during inspections are addressed promptly either on-site or during daily meetings, significantly reducing problem-solving times and boosting productivity.
Since adopting the quality wage system, we've seen a 5% reduction in defective and reworked products, along with a 3.7% increase in overall product pass rates. For instance, when the pass rate reaches or exceeds 97%, workers receive a 14% raise in their piece rate. A pass rate between 95% and 97% maintains the original wage quota, while anything below 95% leads to a 14% deduction. This system has successfully raised product standards, boosted employee earnings, and heightened engagement levels. Furthermore, employees’ quality consciousness has shifted from mere lip service to practical application. Staff involved in the small-diameter cold-pressing process now proactively deliver finished goods to the sintering stage, monitor sintered product quality, and collaborate closely with quality inspectors to resolve issues swiftly.
By integrating the quality wage system, we're not only achieving superior product outcomes and greater profitability but also empowering employees to take charge of quality management. This system ensures everyone adheres to high standards and meets expectations, fostering a culture of excellence across the board.
