They have developed small-scale solar power plants under 5 kilowatts that are suitable for most homes and shops with independent rooftops. These systems come with a full-service package, including planning, design, sales, installation, and grid connection. "We integrate all the components of a photovoltaic system into products with different specifications, similar to how air conditioner manufacturers offer various models," said Lei. "We then sell them through malls and specialty stores." Currently, more than 20 personal photovoltaic projects are under construction in Jiangsu province. However, the traditional process requires residents to source equipment themselves, assemble everything, and handle the grid connection application independently. This can be time-consuming and costly. "Making an ordinary person do something that requires expert knowledge is quite challenging," Lei explained. He calculated that building a 3-kilowatt solar power station costs about 25,000 yuan annually. The system can generate around 3,400 to 3,600 kilowatt-hours per year, saving approximately 3,000 yuan on electricity bills. This new franchise model aims to simplify the process, making solar energy more accessible and affordable for everyday consumers.
