United States: Development of Monitoring Solar Cell Array Performance Technology

NxGen designed telecommunications components for the 20MW solar project to meet California's energy goals.

NxGen Modular, based in San Jose, USA, has developed technologies to monitor the performance of solar arrays and has found applications in California. This telecom component technology was developed for the 20MW solar power project of the Pacific Coal Power Company (PG&E) in the Huron Region.

The solar photovoltaic project has been completed after eight months of construction. This project is part of the Pacific Coal Power Company's five-year clean energy initiative.

NxGen is a supplier of component data centers and component assemblies. The company aims to improve the operational performance and efficiency of customer data centers, reduce total costs, and achieve an ideal level of growth.

The company specifically designed telecommunications components to retrieve and store key performance data for solar arrays. The assembly also incorporates protection relays and controllers.

Liz Fetter, chairman and chief executive officer of NxGen Modular, said: "This highlights the fact that PV modules are not universal. The project uses a special design that can be carried out in the manufacturing plant before the installation date. Installation and testing. Once the equipment is ready for installation, we can quickly deliver and install a previously tested component."

"NxGen is very proud to be able to play an important role in the development of sustainable energy to support the development of our state while also meeting the growing power demand of the data center industry."
