Discussion on the mechanism of sub-dry cutting

I. Introduction

All the wealth in the world is the product of human resources to develop natural resources, of which manufacturing plays an important role in creating wealth and the source of pollution. According to the statistics of industrial hazardous waste sources in the United States, the metal processing industry accounts for 5% of industrial waste sources, ranking fourth. The tradition and the cutting fluid used cause serious pollution to the environment. Sustainable development calls for green manufacturing, and clean production requires green processing. In this paper, we use the green processing technology, sub-dry cutting, to test several metal materials, and explore the mechanism and advantages of the cutting method.

Second, the test method

Test material

The materials to be cut are 45 steel, 26HRC, D=75mm, CCr12, 58HRC, D=76mm, Cr12, 52HRC, D=82mm.

45 steel is a representative of medium carbon steel, which is characterized by good cutting performance; GCr12 is a representative of high-strength bearing steel, which is characterized by wear resistance, high power required during cutting, and serious tool wear; Cr12 is characterized by High tensile strength, low thermal conductivity, high temperature gradient in the chip, high temperature of the chip-to-tool contact surface during processing, it is easy to aggravate the diffusion and wear of the tool, and its viscosity is high, the chip is easy to stick to the tip and affect the processing quality. , affecting the stability of the cutting process.

2. Test device

a. Machine tool and measuring instrument: machine tool (CA6140 lathe); force meter (Y60-3A), light oscilloscope (SC16 type), XY function recorder (CZ3-304, precision 0.5mm, specification: 25mm × 3Omm); Tool-workpiece thermocouple, voltmeter (Pz26b); (BCJ-2 surface roughness tester; WNY-150 medical thermometer,

b. Cold air generating device: self-made equipment, the temperature can be adjusted to -35 °C.

c. Tool: Car blade. When cutting GCr12, use German SNMM120408-NR7 WAP3O (when measuring cutting force); SNMM150612 WAP20 (measure when cutting heat). When cutting 45 steel, use domestic YT15 SNMM12 0408 (when measuring cutting force), YT15 SNMM150612 (when measuring cutting heat). When cutting Cr12 steel, use domestic YW1 (when measuring cutting force) and YT15 (when measuring cutting heat).
