Abstract After successfully obtaining the ISO 9001 quality management system certification seven years ago, Zhengzhou Abrasives Grinding Research Institute has recently achieved another significant milestone by securing the environmental and occupational health and safety management system certification from Beijing Huaxin Technology Inspection Co., Ltd. This accomplishment marks a new chapter for Sanmao, as it now holds full certification across three critical systems: quality, environment, and occupational health and safety. This achievement not only strengthens its operational foundation but also enhances its market competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
From May 27th to May 31st this year, a team of six auditors from Huaxin Technology Inspection Co., Ltd. conducted an on-site evaluation of Sanmao’s quality, environment, and occupational health and safety management systems. Following a thorough review, the audit team confirmed that there were no serious non-conformities found in the systems. The quality management system was found to comply with GB/T 19001-2008 (equivalent to ISO 9001:2008), the environmental management system met GB/T 24001-2004 (equivalent to ISO 14001:2004), and the occupational health and safety management system aligned with GB/T 28001-2011.
Huaxin Technology Inspection Co., Ltd. addressed the minor non-conformities identified during the audit and, after verification, approved the second stage of the audit on July 5th and issued the environmental and occupational health and safety management system certification to Sanmao on July 11th.
Throughout the entire certification process, Sanmao received continuous support and guidance from its leadership. Since relocating to the development zone, the company has significantly improved its infrastructure, equipment, and working environment, which provided a solid foundation for the certification. Under the strong leadership of the management team, employees from all departments worked diligently, from studying standards and training internal auditors, to writing management manuals and procedures. They also conducted environmental factor identification, risk assessment, internal audits, and management reviews—each step reflecting their commitment and effort. The on-site audit by Huaxin Technology Inspection Co., Ltd. served as a comprehensive evaluation of Sanmao’s management systems. It helped standardize operations, enhance product quality, improve the working environment, ensure employee safety, and strengthen the brand reputation of “Sanmao.†This certification is not just a milestone but a new starting point.
