The first presentation focused on the trends and technological innovations in three-piece tank manufacturing, delivered by Wei Jianguo. He discussed the future reduction of tinplate usage in beverage cans (0.15mm iron plates) and food cans (0.12mm iron plates). The Sudronik Group also presented detailed reports on their ARS self-adaptive circular system, full-line quality control, automatic welding current settings, and high-precision components. Tugu Jianyi from Le Meridien Co., Ltd. addressed the challenges faced by Chinese manufacturers due to rising labor costs and stringent quality demands. He introduced solutions tailored for the local market, emphasizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Hu Jianhua of Siwenkede shared insights into building the largest iron processing base in China. Svancod, a technology-driven company, has expanded from resource mining to steel rough processing and is now entering deep processing stages. The company aims to become a technology-oriented enterprise in the future. Li Daobin from Zhongshan Baidun Paint Co., Ltd. explained key testing standards for exporting metal packaging cans, including EN71, which is crucial for toy products in the EU market. Lin Rongtao highlighted the innovation and development of Weiner’s mercury-free welding wheels, which offer reliability comparable to imported models at a significantly lower cost. He also discussed how Sinology is transforming productivity. Xiao Ling of Far East Horizon explored six key areas: macroeconomics, industrial environment, financial changes, industry scans, corporate perspectives, and transformation strategies. Her talk aimed to provide better financial support for metal packaging companies. Li Peng from Shanghai Lianjing Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. presented on high-speed metal sheet lamination equipment, highlighting the gap between domestic and international standards and the potential for growth in China's coated iron industry. Bai Zhongwen from CanNeed Instruments Co., Ltd. showcased the company's technological innovations in the can-making industry, including X-ray-based non-destructive quality measurement, laser and visual automation, and new testing methods for aluminum cans and lids. Cao Ming of Rulin Chemical gave a detailed overview of two-piece can printing ink technology, covering localization, cost analysis, feasibility studies, and practical application techniques. Wu Xiangyu from Schuler introduced the company’s global production and service network, along with one-stop cup press systems designed for the packaging industry. Yang Jiguang of Polytec discussed CTP plate-making technology, including an introduction to Paulette-Eskie, product details, and an innovative sales model that benefits users. This event provided valuable insights into the latest developments and challenges in the metal packaging industry, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation.
