**Design Requirements**
1. **Structure of Protective Clothing**
Protective clothing is composed of multiple layers, including an outer layer, a waterproof and breathable layer, a heat-insulating layer, and a comfort layer. These layers can be combined into a single garment or a multi-layered outfit. The design must meet standard production processes and include appropriate accessories that comply with performance requirements.
2. **Protective Tops**
The protective top should provide full coverage for the upper body, including the trunk, neck, arms, and wrists. However, it does not cover the head or hands. The overlap between the protective top and trousers should be at least 200mm to ensure full protection.
3. **Protected Area**
The protective top must protect the firefighter’s upper torso, neck, arms, and wrists. It should not extend to the head or hands. The overlap between the top and the trousers must be at least 200mm to ensure continuous protection.
4. **Collar Design**
The collar height should be no less than 102mm and should be either lapped or fastened with suitable closures. The collar structure must include an outer layer, a waterproof and breathable layer, and a thermal insulation layer to provide full protection.
5. **Front Opening (Door Sill)**
The front opening of the protective coat must include the outer layer, waterproof breathable layer, and heat-insulating layer. This ensures that the opening remains secure and maintains the protective integrity of the garment.
6. **Cuffs**
The cuffs should be designed to protect the firefighter’s wrists and prevent burning debris from entering the sleeves. They must not interfere with the wearing of the protective clothing and should be compatible with the use of protective gloves.
7. **Protective Trousers**
The protective trousers are designed to protect the lower limbs and legs, but they do not cover the shins or feet. The design must ensure mobility while maintaining safety in hazardous environments.
8. **Reflective Markings**
Reflective signs should be securely sewn onto the protective coat and trousers. On split garments, reflective tape should be placed along the bust, hem, cuffs, and seams, with a width of at least 50mm. The reflective strips should be visible from all angles (360°) for maximum visibility.
9. **Label Placement**
The label should be located on the comfort layer, on the left side of the front of the protective coat. It should be clearly visible and properly positioned.
10. **Color**
The protective clothing should be dark blue in color, ensuring visibility and compliance with standard color codes.
11. **Accessories**
a) All hardware should be free of blemishes, bumps, or sharp edges and should undergo anti-corrosion treatment.
b) Threads and fasteners should be flame-resistant and match the color of the outer fabric.
c) The front placket of the protective jacket should use a zipper of at least size 8, matching the color of the outer fabric.
d) Elastic bands should be used in the design of the protective trousers to allow for flexibility and comfort.
**Fabric Properties**
1. **Outer Layer**
- Flame resistance: Damage length should not exceed 100mm, afterflame time ≤ 2 seconds, and no melting or dripping.
- Surface water resistance should be at least level 3.
- Breaking strength and dry breaking strength should be ≥ 650N.
- Tear strength (warp and weft) should be ≥ 100N.
- After thermal stability testing at 260°C ± 5°C, dimensional change rate should not exceed 10%, and no visible damage.
- Weight per unit area should be within ±5% of the supplier's nominal value.
- Color fastness: Washable staining ≥ grade 3, water-resistant friction ≥ grade 3.
2. **Waterproof Breathable Layer**
- Hydrostatic pressure resistance should be ≥ 17kPa.
- Water vapor transmission should be ≥ 5000g/(m²·24h).
- After thermal stability testing at 180°C ± 5°C, dimensional change rate should not exceed 5%, and no significant surface changes.
3. **Heat Insulation Layer**
- Flame resistance: Damage length ≤ 100mm, afterflame time ≤ 2s, no melting or dripping.
- After thermal stability testing at 180°C ± 5°C, dimensional change rate should not exceed 5%, and no significant surface changes.
4. **Comfort Layer**
- Should not melt or drip.
- Overall protection performance (TPP) should be ≥ 28 cal/cm².
- Sewing density: At least 12 stitches per 3cm on straight seams, and at least 9 stitches per 3cm on other seams.
- Color difference: Collar, front, sleeves, and pockets should have a color difference of at least level 4.
- Seam strength: Outer seam breaking strength should be ≥ 650N.
5. **Reflective Sign Belt**
- Heat resistance: No carbonization or shedding after 5 minutes at 260°C ± 5°C.
- Retroreflection coefficient should be ≥ 70% of the value in Table 2.
- Flame resistance: Afterflame time ≤ 2s, no melting or dripping.
- After 25 washes, no damage, loss, or discoloration.
- After high-low temperature tests, no breakage, wrinkling, or twisting.
**Appearance Quality**
a) All parts should be clean, flat, and free of yellowing, water stains, or shiny spots.
b) The collar should be flat and not curled.
c) Symmetrical parts should be consistent.
d) Adhesive lining should not show peeling or bleeding.
e) Labels should be correctly positioned, and numbers should be clear and accurate.
